The STC’s recommendation
We developed the VipGrade® computerized clinical decision support system to grade the severity of viper envenomations and guide their treatment.
The decision algorithm used for the VipGrade® program is based on the current recommendations used by the French PCC and corresponds to the grading table published in Clinical toxicology. The management recommendations can evolve if necessary and their scientific monitoring is ensured by the French Society of Clinical Toxicology.
Its purpose is to supplement, not replace, the advice of the PCC’s clinical toxicologists, and this advice should be sought whenever a viper bite is encountered in clinical practice.
